The world looks spectacular from above. This perspective gives a powerful feeling, where everything is interconnected. With this fascination, I made Amsterdam in Panorama by helicopter, offering a bird’s eye perspective. My original panorama camera from the 1980’s, captured Amsterdam in a fraction of a second, on razor sharp slide film with a particular round globe effect.

I made the picture with a unique camera on special slide film. This, according to the traditional technique from the pre-digital era that in no way can be compared to the digital way of photographing. The beauty of the panorama is the depth in the photographs and the semi-circular horizon. This effect strengthens the feeling of one world, in which everything is connected. At the same time it looks as if Amsterdam is the only city on earth.

On traditional method the slide was developed. I edited it in my studio using more than 20 layers of colour to create a crispy, almost painting-like effect. Afterwards I printed Florence in Panorama personally on the highest quality art canvas with LUCIA EX 12 pigment ink in my Studio. This will guarantee the best quality brings the details and colors to life and it stays beautiful for years to go.

The panorama is on a 2 cm thick stretcher is completed with a luxurious 4 cm black wooden frame.
The art work is personally signed by Robbert Frank Hagens and comes with certificate.
