Ball, plane and hole


A pastiche in the style of Dame Barbara Hepworth’s famous Ball, plane and hole 1936; which is now in the Tate Modern.

This item is sized to a 70mm Ball and is illustrated in the first two photographs. It is in over 2.3kg of aged English Oak. The plinth measures 54 x 18 x 2.4cm and the maximum height is 14.5cm.

It was created by David Boyd FRSC, who is a scientist specialising in scientific and geometric artworks.
