I was born in 1952 and grew up in Richmond in south west London. Though I tried out various approaches to painting I was from the beginning interested in developing a flat and graphic way of painting. Some of the artists associated with Pop Art are those I feel closest to in spirit. I think of myself as primarily an abstract painter who uses imagery , often the images that find their way into my work derive from the Golden Age of popular culture. I believe that for art to be serious it doesn't necessarily always have to look too serious......! I have work in collections world wide. Recently a painting of mine went into the permanent collection of The Copelouzos Art Museum in Athens and in June 2015 I had twelve paintings begin a three year tour of a solo exhibition in Europe beginning in France and then going on to Germany and Belgium.
