Beach Huts Lit By the Evening Sun (Framed)
By Mary Kemp
About this piece
This seaside oil painting is of one of my favourite subjects, beach huts lit by the evening sun.
There’s a couple of deckchairs just waiting for someone to collapse into them after a long hot day. Cup of tea, anyone? Gin and tonic?
I painted this using Windsor and Newton oil paints on a canvas panel.
It is one of a very long series of beach paintings, of the Norfolk coast. These beach huts can be found among Old Hunstanton sand dunes.
The picture itself measures 40 x 40 cm , and with the unvarnished wooden frame ( reminds me of driftwood) measures 53 x 53 cm.
