The painting has been reworked with inks, oil paints and graphite, to create a scratched surface etched with the memory of the stone.

Jess Dun is a graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University in Contemporary Fine Art Practice. Her work spans a range of media including: prints, painting, installations and sculpture. Most recently Jess has been revisiting intaglio printing and zinc plate etches, some of which are detailed here. She has produced bespoke paintings for corporate venues, private commissions and had a year long installation in the atrium space at the Leeds Radisson. A recent local artist exhibition at Leeds Library, has reignited Jess' desire to make prints from her own personal experience. From abstracted imagery to delicate prints, Jess' work relates to a range of themes some of which include; traces of memory, patterns and senses of light, journeys and the notion of 'home'.
