Lerryn Bridge

Lerryn Bridge – Giclee Print

Lerryn is a stunningly pretty Cornish village which at low tide is inaccessible by water, while on a spring high tide your car may float in the car park! The river at Lerryn is a tributary of the glorious River Fowey, splitting from the Fowey at St Winnow Point (St Winnow features in another of my works). If you are unable to visit Lerryn by small boat or kayak it can be reached by road via Lostwithiel. However you get there you will not be disappointed!

Lerryn has a wonderful bridge, which at the time of day when this was picture was painted, had sun light shimmering¬† though the arches.¬† The ‘orange’ tones of the bridge are complemented by the blues of the water. Houses peek out between the bushes and trees. Two rowing boats float close to the water’s edge.

This high quality giclee print is mounted and will fit a standard readymade frame.

Shirley Netherton

I am a Cornish artist who has spent many years developing my unique style of painting with acrylics so that today my work is instantly recognisable. I feel lucky that the hobbies which I enjoy in my free time contribute towards my intense enthusiasm for painting. The photographs I take whilst walking and kayaking become the reference material for my work. I am so fortunate to live in such a beautiful county, surrounded by the sea with so many inland waterways - truly inspirational.
