Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, Carol works from her cottage in the North Pennines, her work is dynamic with an expressive flair. Whether Carol is painting an abstract or representational landscape there is a poetical almost pantheistic harmony to her compositions, “I am one of those artists that work both in representation and abstraction. My work reflects my mood, my surroundings and thoughts. The act of painting and drawing can be magical and even mystical, creating something that doesn't exist in the physical world, is very exciting. Each painting is unique and expresses its own dialogue, a common theme that runs through all my work is ambience or colour.
