Je Veux Vivre Sur La Lune (I Want To Live On the Moon)

A bird perches on the french title 'Je veux vivre sur la Lune', wishing to emigrate to the moon.
This bold, graphic drawing started life as a accidental print. I closed my sketch book on an unsuccessful ink drawing, while it was still a little wet. When I opened up the page later I found this lunar landscape had appeared on the opposite page and this idea formed around it. I overheard a child say this phrase to his mother during a quiet moment at a firework display. I looked up and agreed with him. I had been trying to work it into a piece since. I translated the phrase into french simply because I felt it work better aesthetically.
***If this artwork is SOLD or if you would like something similar please email Rippingham Art and I will happily do something along the same lines for you. Please note that I will not re-do the piece exactly the same. These are unique artworks and I will not repeat myself as it devalues the original.
