Low Tide, St Ives

St Ives is a picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town in Cornwall. In years gone by it was commercially dependent on fishing but now the town is primarily a seaside resort. It is also renowned for it’s number of artists who have been drawn to the area for many years, partly due to the unique light conditions created by the beautiful yellow sands of it’s beaches.
This is the view of harbour beach in St Ives at low tide with it’s characteristic boats lying haphazardly on the sand. This mounted high quality open edition giclee print will fit a ready made 40 x 40cm frame and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

I am a Cornish artist who has spent many years developing my unique style of painting with acrylics so that today my work is instantly recognisable. I feel lucky that the hobbies which I enjoy in my free time contribute towards my intense enthusiasm for painting. The photographs I take whilst walking and kayaking become the reference material for my work. I am so fortunate to live in such a beautiful county, surrounded by the sea with so many inland waterways - truly inspirational.
