A limited edition giclee print of /150 from my original pencil study of a very inquisitive Highland Cow. ‘Nosey’, as I have christened her, was by far the bravest in the herd and came straight up to the fence to pose! I took advantage of this and snapped away – needless to say she will probably feature in some of my future works.

Each print comes double mounted and backed ready for framing, prints are signed and numbered on the front and also come with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

After completing renovation work on my current house and now that the kids don't get up quite so often in the night I felt it was time to make my passion for art into my full time career.   I have always been a keen artist and studied art throughout school, I continued at Cumbria College of Art & Design where I completed a foundation course before studying design at Wolverhampton College of Art & Design. Since gaining my degree with honours I have completed numerous commissions covering a variety of subject matter but only ever in my spare time.   As I get older I have realized, to me there is nothing more satisfying than completing a picture you are happy with and the reactions you get from the person who has commissioned you or who purchases the piece from you!   So this time last year I dusted off my art equipment and began working. Next year as well as locating new galleries to exhibit my work I am also hoping to enter some competitions to help publicise my work.   I am fascinated with the amazing creatures which we have the privilege of sharing our planet with and love to draw and paint them in a variety of mediums. I think the character of an animal can be seen in their faces and in particular their eyes. It is said the eyes are the windows to the soul and I believe this is true in animals as well as us humans. I am fascinated with this concept and strive to capture this in both my commissioned pieces and self initiated work. I am currently working on a series of studies focusing primarily on close up images of the faces of a variety of my favourite animals, some are big some small some very rare and others we see every day but all share a beauty.
