Peat Bogs – Isle of Islay

The isle of Islay is the southernmost island of the inner Scottish Hebrides.  Much of Islay is low lying and fertile, although it also has high moorland and hills.  The peat provides the smoky character of the Islay malt whiskies.

Bruce Graham

Bruce Graham is an artist living and working in the North East of Scotland, and it is from the dramatic and varied Scottish scenery that he derives his inspiration, for this, the first series of prints produced.    Bruce works mainly in oils, using both brush and palette knife to create paintings with style and depth.    The prints are produced from original paintings which were created from both visits to the areas, along with photographs, and a little piece of artistic licence.  More images of Bruce’s work can be seen on his website.
