Towards Poros Town

Part of a series of paintings of Greece, this was inspired by a view glanced while I was doing the 20-minute walk from the holiday apartment in Askeli to Poros Town. Camera in hand, I photographed this image of the coastline as it juts out into the bay.

I have captured a scene which could be anywhere on the Greek islands. The red roofed houses interspersed with Cyprus trees, the straw coloured sand and clear turquoise water. And in the foreground, a typical Greek boat.

This high quality giclee print is mounted and will fit a standard readymade frame.

I am a Cornish artist who has spent many years developing my unique style of painting with acrylics so that today my work is instantly recognisable. I feel lucky that the hobbies which I enjoy in my free time contribute towards my intense enthusiasm for painting. The photographs I take whilst walking and kayaking become the reference material for my work. I am so fortunate to live in such a beautiful county, surrounded by the sea with so many inland waterways - truly inspirational.
