Sarah Gill Artist I paint small atmospheric landscapes that are inspired my travels and favourite destinations such as Virginia in USA, Tuscany and the Italian lakes, Burgundy in the heart of France, Cote d'Azur and of course, the stunning landscapes right on our doorstep in the Peak District of Britain. We are so lucky to live in one of the most gorgeous and varied counties of England - deep wooded valleys, winding rivers that spawned the industrial revolution, high windswept moorlands that inspired classics such as Jane Eyre , majestic stately homes such as Chatsworth and Kedleston and the wonderful cosy market towns of Bakewell and Chesterfield. These stunning places fuel my imagination and urge to paint. I paint in a lively and fresh style but I especially love creating skies, storms, clouds, variations in light - all inspired by the ever changing light due to the vagaries of our British weather. My artworks are affordable , each one usually being presented in a carefully chosen frame to match the theme and feel of the landscape. I enjoy matching vintage frames to my new artworks.
