Beata Sikorska-Łabęcka

POLISH HEART – CELTIC SOUL Studied between 1984-1989 at the Textile Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. Diploma in painting and clothing in 1989. Artistic scholarship in Paris sponsored by Les Fonds d’Aide aux Lettres Polonaises Indépendantes -1994. The inspiration for  series of drawing and painting became a landscape; specifically one of its elements – TREE. Fascinated by the richness of its forms, I started to seek new content, beyond the natural reality. My tree, although the fragments of nature, moved into a new spiritual context, becomes the apotheosis of vital forces, and even some sensuality. Becomes the apotheosis of human passions.
