I make hand pulled original prints using an etching press involving lots of ink and an etching press. I trained as an Illustrator at Arts University Bournemouth. I did a printmaking course recently and I have fallen in love with printmaking. I love the sketchy, loose, drawing style of drypoint printmaking, where-by I incise onto the printing plate directly with a sharp pen-like tool. The results once inked and run through the press are akin to sketches in my sketchbook. To apply colour I use Chine-Colle which is adding extra paper which adheres to the thicker printmaking paper. I use Hahnemuhle printmaking paper, Akus water based inks and all materials are acid free. I hope you enjoy looking at my work.
