Artist Statement

Art makes this World a better place, and I am happy to be a part of this process

I am fine artist,  specialise in contemporary seascape and landscapes, abstraction and also floral.

The three styles are very different but all strive to generate a sense of intimacy and isolation while leaving the subject open to interpretation.

It is my aim for those who view my paintings to be drawn into them, and so stir their own creativity as they allow their imagination to wander between the spaces and decide for themselves what they see.

The Seascapes ( one of my style I represent to Gallery) are created from memories rather than images to produce finished pieces, resulting in more abstracted  than realistic. I very much admire photorealism and appreciate technical ability to produce such king of work, but I want my art looks like painting not photograph.

That why I use contrasting  texture, contrasting  technique, contrasting  color, brushes along with  a pallet  knife to show sharp contrast.  By using contrast my approach is to record and comment on things that are more than visual apparent: to tease out eye more that you can see, to draw people in and invite them to experience  -  no just consume an image.
