Paul Heron

I was born Edinburgh and studied fine art/art history before moving to London, where I studied philosophy.  I worked in the Government Service as a policy advisor/analyst. I have always painted but only regularly since retiring and acquiring a studio. My favourite artists are Picasso, Braque, Ernst and De Chirico. Over the years I have painted in various styles but mostly in the cubist/abstract/surrealist idioms. I still range between those styles, preferring to work from my imagination rather than from nature.
